WHERE ARE WE?

June Lake is centrally located on the eastern slope of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains. California State Route 158 defines the June Lake Loop Road, which joins US Highway 395 at two points, north and south. Also in confluence with the north loop junction is State Route 120 which extends from central Nevada to the east and Yosemite National Park to the west.

Winter Time:   Portions of S/R120 (the Tioga Pass) from Yosemite's east gate to the Yosemite Valley are CLOSED generally from November/December through May/June.   Take a look at this link for status: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/tiogaopen.htm

Also during the winter the north loop junction of the June Lake Loop, 158, is closed.  You can access the June Lake Village through the south junction (Shell Gas Station at 395 and 158).
